Every year on Facebook I get some moaners posting about how boring it is to read “New Year, NEW ME!” posts. Why are people so hellbent on spoiling other people’s fun?! I love reading them (okay, I don’t always love reading them. Especially when Sally announces this is the year she finally sorts her finances out & I’m sat here knowing full well she’ll be 2k in her overdraft by 2nd January).
Every year I set myself a little goal though, 9 times out of 10 I forget what I promised myself within a week but last year – the year I was turning 30 – I promised myself I would take better care of ME; my skincare regime and make up, and I stuck to it! It quickly became part of my routine and I’ve absolutely loved discovering new products and enjoying pampering myself.
This year I’m sticking with a similar theme and taking better care of my mental health. My agoraphobia and panic disorder have truly sucked arse this year and can jog right on. I refuse to spend another year fighting with my own body over what it over reacts to. This is the year I take back control and live again.
I plan to;
- Continue with meditation
- Eat well
- Take up sewing
- Focus on combating my fears
In terms of my blog; well, I’ve been blogging for 3 months properly, so by the end of 2018 I’d love to reach 1k followers on my blog, 3k on Instagram and 5k on Twitter 🤞🏼 Help me start?
What is your New Year Resolution?
Love, Dannii x
